Wheeler Community Service Frequently Asked Questions
Why are there three columns of hours?
Only a maximum of 20 summer hours can count toward a Community Service Letter, therefore you will see a column for “Hours” which is everything you have earned since school started (8/1), “Total Summer Hours” which includes any hours you volunteered prior to the start of school, and “Total Lettering Hours” which is highlighted green. The last column captures only those hours that go towards the lettering requirement. When you meet or exceed the 40-hour requirement, your hours will be highlighted green.
How do I know if I have met the lettering requirement?
Look at the “Total Lettering Hours” column and if it is 40 hours or more, you have met the requirement. The cell should be highlighted green once you meet the requirement.
What if my name is misspelled or I see that I am listed more than once on the “Totals” tab?
Please contact [email protected] so it can be corrected.
What do I do if I volunteered at an event and I do not see my hours listed?
Please contact the sponsor (usually the person you checked in and out with) and ask if they have submitted your hours. The Community Service Officers cannot input hours that have not been submitted through the appropriate approval process.
What do I do if my hours for an event are listed but they are incorrect?
